At the recent, CEO Summit, where CEO’s and Business Leaders from across the Insights Industry met, the question was ‘how much have salaries risen over the last 10 years?’
ENI conducted a salary survey of quantitative research agency researchers in 2008 and did the same in 2018. Comparing the two makes for depressing reading; see the graph below. In most cases salaries remain the same or have dropped slightly.
How have quantitative agencies found themselves in this position? Salaries in the Data and Insight industry as a whole are higher and growing, but this particular sector of the industry is falling behind. It needs to think how to compete for the best staff, allowing it to take advantage of an industry that is changing rapidly and can offer huge opportunity.
