We are working with one of the world’s leading global business consulting firms who work with the major multinational corporations from every economic sector in the world. They consult within Financial Services, Aerospace, Defence and Government Services, Private Equity, Media & Entertainment and more.

They are expanding their Insight team. This team are an eclectic group of qualitative researchers, quantitative researchers, advanced analytics and data scientists. You will work within a team that has some of the most advanced capabilities in the world. Your role is to be the absolute expert in qualitative, recommending which methodologies will really get to the crux of the issues.

They are looking for a Qualitative Director to work closely with their management consultants to understand different areas of the market to build a complete picture for clients. This will be working across huge, multi-million pound global projects, anything from service design and innovation to working with private equity to understand the benefits of a takeover. Their projects span product development, experience re-design, brand strategy, go-to market and customer segmentation.

It’s a great position for a qualitative researcher who wants to join one of the most innovative companies and develop their consulting skills further. This role doesn’t involve business development. It’s also a chance to impart your knowledge and passion of qualitative research throughout the business, training and coaching consultants on research methodologies and leveraging theoretical and methodological expertise on behalf of their clients worldwide.

Ideally you will:

  • Have practiced all stages in qualitative research design and executive (participant screening, moderation, analysis and reporting)
  • Have experience with ethnography/contextual inquiry, mobile ethno, focus groups, online bulletin boards and in-depth interviews
  • Be familiar with human centred design and design research (journey maps)
  • Have experience with international research
