Job Description

We’re looking for a Head of Econometrics to join a leading UK regulator.

The company:

This business is an evidence-led UK regulator, it plays an integral role when it comes to regulation and competition in the UK across communication services. The business has a wealth of high calibre talent with access to a wide range of disparate data sets and a positive, supportive culture. The hiring manager said she has never worked anywhere with such a talented, high calibre and motivated workforce. The role:
This is a new role in their structure and a key role in their business moving forward. The role sits in a team of 80, within the 80 there is a great wealth of econometrics talent/resource that will be pulled in to deliver projects. There aren’t any formal direct reports but colleagues with whom you’ll work closely and manage on projects.

Your role will be to oversee projects, challenging analysis in the right way to ensure it is robust and addresses the needs of the business. Projects will help inform policy decisions, so must stand up to public scrutiny. The role will involve working across the business so there is a great breadth of projects to deliver across TV, radio, postal services, mobile, internet and more. You’ll formalise the practice and lead the agenda for econometric analysis and the value it brings.

Skills:
8-10 years’ + experience in econometrics.
You may be working in an economics consultancy, management consultancy or working in industry.
Experience driving insight from data, influencing stakeholders and delivering value.
A proactive and confident personality.
