Job Description

We are working with a successful and well known mid-sized independent public sector market research agency. Their method expertise, analytics and insight help clients throughout the public realm to make evidence-based decisions that change behaviours not only among stakeholders, but directly impact the wider society too.
Their new London office has seen significant growth and success over the past couple of years and they are now looking for a Client Development Director to join. They are now in a position to develop their offering further, especially within behavioural work such as behaviour change and communications too. They have a strong client base that they have built up over the past 30 years and have implemented growth plans that require them to hire an external senior leader to drive client management focus.
This role has two core elements:

  • Creation of high-quality proposals and bid for new work
  • Developing and creating new opportunities through proactive client engagement and marketing

You must have knowledge of public sector procurement, especially central Government. Alongside this, excellent bid/proposal writing and leadership capabilities are a must. This is a very pitch-heavy role so experience with effectively and confidently leading on large and strategic pitches is essential.
This role would suit someone who has a market research background in the public sector and have more recently developed themselves into a business development and client director capacity. The majority of their primary research is quantitative although they do implement elements of qualitative too.
This is an exciting opportunity to join in an autonomous capacity, developing and helping to drive the company offering and client base forward directly alongside the decision makers.
