We are working with a leading Market Research Agency who specialise in Public Sector Research. This role sits in their Large and Longitudinal Studies Team, who work with some of the most complex studies for government and academia.

This is a key role for the research team, to help clients and colleagues alike to understand and plan data requirements, take responsibility for the management and quality assurance of large, complex datasets and other data deliverables.

You will work alongside the client services team, operations team and sampling team, as a core member of the team. Within this role, you will take responsibility for defining the quality assurance checks and seek to innovate their data management processes through the use of automation.

It’s a great opportunity for someone with a data processing or data manager background from a research agency to work in a client facing and team mentoring position. One element of the position is speaking directly with clients about their data requirements and designing specifications with them.

Ideally we are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good working knowledge of both SPSS and Excel, including writing SPSS syntax, carrying out basic analysis with SPSS and manipulate SPSS data files.
  • Can use VBA macros or knowledge of other statistical packages (e.g. STATA)
  • Has a good knowledge of current data protection legislation and GDPR requirements.
